WARREN COUNTY ELEMENTARY ART TEACHERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OCTOBER 29 & NOVEMBER 1, 2022

I was so happy to be invited to present a professional development for the Warren County Art Teachers Saturday Oct.29, and Tuesday November 1, 2022. I tried to bring a toolbox of ideas for teachers to take back to their own classrooms. We painted on canvas, boards, leaves and murals. We did 2 printmaking processes and collage. We made a clay tile and we shared many ideas for inclusion in our art classrooms!

"FROM MANY WE ARE ONE" TILE MURAL WCHS OCTOBER 24-26, 2022 &

The "From Many We Are One" Tile mural project at Warren Central High School was an adventure in clay and creation and thinking of a theme! The theme Alice chose, "From Many We are One" is based on the ideas presented in a documentary on Warren Central High School done a few years ago. Students watched parts of the documentary and then created clay tiles based on them and their families, cultures, beliefs and challenges. Many conversations were happening during the planning sketches. Kim Soule Artist led the students in a demo of how to create a tile and add on their idea as they had drawn it in their planning sketch. Alice helped students as they began to work with how large to make ideas and what other ideas could be added. Students worked hard on their ideas and on their clay experience. Each piece was checked as it was turned in each day for proper procedure and size. Now to fire the tiles!!href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZp2z1ByCkPuJiiY77uTnmywDi2UAOYoqbTMIAwmM1PQS3GVj0scP8wNv9PiA7UaCr0LfeiSj7Ve00QRImUSqmh9cO8dZCC4gZagpvZLb1CGgwy1LJj7x-B4JmrSS6tqUFKTJiqrDybOdsxhsYRhzrfir9TI6q6XBRdS2cOmjfWybFcwAy8sqYpezx/s1462/cen1.jpg" style="display: block; padding: 1em 0; text-align: center; ">
